Each battery powered Bluetooth tag continually broadcasts a unique Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) ID which identifies it to the system every 1.2 seconds. The tags are worn or carried by personnel and/or attached to portable assets which identifies each person and asset to the system.
Wireless beacons (WBs) are strategically located within and around each building. The read range-zone of each WB is adjustable to detect tags or badges within that specific zone or area. The read range zone of each WB can be adjusted to read badges or tags between 1 metre and up to 30 metres. WBs create a private BLE Mesh network to relay the tag locations to the nearest gateway.
The BLE gateway receives the location of all badges or tags from the WB network, it relays the location of personnel and assets to the software application through the Local Area Network (LAN). The gateway connects the network to the server where the software application is updated. The system monitors the location of all personnel and assets in real time.
The web enabled tracking application software is designed to run on desktop PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The user interface is simple and compatible with all the major modern web browsers.
